As Jamie Weinman explained a while ago, the Anger Management production model isn’t about making quality TV. It’s about quickly producing a large amount of episodes that the network can then sell into syndication.
It’s kinda funny because when FX ordered all those episodes, the show had just premiered and was a big ratings hit, so the idea was that would support them and allow them to keep funding the lower-rated but actually funny comedies.
On the other hand, come on, it’s only Falling Skies. Even nerds have some standards.

And yet this show has a following big enough to keep it in production, somehow, despite being arguably the worst alien invasion show in the past 10 years, and certainly the dumbest one I’ve had the misfortune of seeing any of.
Pitch: This History Professor is a strategic and tactical genius, ’cause he’s a History Professor, right? Except he’s not actually a military history professor, but a US history professor, ’cause nothing in the world is or was as important as the US, right?

I agree that Scream 4 was pretty meh, but I love the near meta motivation of the killer because of the casting.
