Thursday is the Ontario provincial election and—after you vote, of course—TV has you covered. CP24′s coverage begins at 8 p.m.; CHCH’s likewise at 8 p.m.; CTV’s begins at 9 p.m., because it really wants to show a Big Bang Theory rerun first, which says a lot about CTV, we guess

Maybe it just means that CTV knows that the electoral options in Toronto blow, and it wants to provide some distraction from the utter disgust that so many must feel. A break between the sickening feeling of casting a ballot for someone you don’t really want, and watching with the perverse hope that someone you don’t really want is beating someone you really don’t want. That they thought a Big Bang Theory rerun was the antacid to that particular ulcer says that they might be bad at entertaining you, but it could, at least potentially, be an effort to provide some balm to your sanity.
