But come on, folks, last night’s episode of Battlestar Galactica isn’t going to watch itself, you know?

Maybe you’re just not doing it right.

Shameless plug: I wrote a rather lengthy post about (something tangentially related to) the Peter David/scans_daily thing over at my blog:

The scans daily thing was bound to happen, but the close down still sucks.

Saw your post on CSBG, MGK, and it’s a good point that will go sadly overlooked. I’m reminded of my Grade 5 year – big, “open-concept” classroom with lots of traffic. While I’m writing some test (the most important test evar, permanent record and all that), a student from the next-door high school is in the next class, talking to a kid 20 feet away, raving about seeing Return of the Jedi the very day it was released…

“and Luke’s all AAAARRGH and the Emperor’s just frying him, lightning coming out of his hands, and Vader just stands there. You can see him thinking, man! Then he walks over, picks up the freakin’ Emperor, and THROWS HIM INTO A BOTTOMLESS PIT. Then the Emperor freakin’ explodes! It was Awesome!!”

You bet I saw that movie in the theatres. Twice (thanks, dad!). Took a day off work to see the Phantom Menace a day before release. Took five friends to see the Clone Wars, because I live in hope.

Pirated a cam-job of Revenge of the Sith. I remember that kid from my 5th grade more vividly than I remember the last two Star Wars movies. He didn’t ruin anything – that was what we used to call “word-of-mouth”.
