My weekly TV column is up at Torontoist, and I just want to say that Brett Lamb’s cartoon this week is one of my favorites of all he’s ever done. The happy werewolf cracks me up every time.

The first time I heard about “Being Human” it was pitched by whatever article I was reading as a British Comedy, and I was all over it. It sounded like wonderful high concept sillyness. I was thinking kind of a supernatural version of Red Dwarf. I couldn’t wait for lots of jokes at the expense of the full range of pop culture supernatural fare. But no. What we got was a angsty moody serious drama(dy?). Meh.
ahh.. now I get why my friend was telling me that Being Human was going into its third season. Should’ve guessed that it was a British show first.
Hey, Rocky II and III were pretty solid. And IV is fun if unbelievably stupid.
