My weekly TV column is up at Torontoist.
The Treehouse of Horror is airing now because baseball is going to eat up the Fox schedule for the month.
True, though it’s not like they haven’t had it air after Halloween before.
Apparantly Marriott’s webbrowser thingy classifies “The Torontoist” as an Adult site. Weird…
Huh, I might give “Ironside” a watch. The ads didn’t do much for me.
Did you have to watch “Low Winter Sun” as a reviewer? That seems painful.
I watched the pilot for “Ironside” and, well… I enjoyed it more than a couple of episodes I tried to watch of the original series starring Raymond Burr on a network called MeTv (Memorable Television). But not enough to keep watching the show.
I like the new Ironside’s supporting characters, but I don’t really get why they recycled the name and the idea of the series lead being in a wheelchair instead of just creating a new show starring Blair Underwood. If they wanted to rip off another show, it might have been better to do an American version of Luther instead of sort of copying a crappy old show Baby Boomers might remember fondly.
As far as Will Arnett goes, the more stuff I see him in, the more I wonder why he still has a career. But then… I didn’t even like him that much on Arrested Development (I catch episodes of that sometimes on FXX, and about the nicest thing I can say about Arnett is that now that I have finally seen more of the episodes in the correct order I like his character a little more than David Cross’s).
