You don’t recognize “The Spaceship of the Imagination”? Fake nerd!
Yes – the original Cosmos had a spaceship too, to allow Sagan to visit various astronomical locations, which worked better than just showing them without a point of view. It was a very stylized design, with cathedral-like innards and occasionally mysterious controls for Sagan to poke at, a post-technological marvel rather than something with bolts and rivits – I loved it when I was 12. (What does the new one look like? If it got too quasi-realistic with controls and engines it would kind of miss the point.)
