Never mind the racism and ludicrous plot twists, what about those trains? European-style buffers with an American cowcatcher pilot, and those stripey crossing gates with the dangling tell-tales–completely unheard of in North America. It’s like Hergé didn’t care about getting *anything* right!

Just because snowny has speach bubbles doesn’t mean he actually talks. The elephants and the cow in Cigars of the Pharaoh also have speach bubbles.
