On one hand, not as many people will be watching the Canadian debate and it would be interesting and informative to know what’s happening up north.

On the other hand, we all know Palin is a constant goldmine of schadenfreude and why have a burger when steak drags itself bleeding right to your table?

I’m willing to bet the VP debate will be funnier.

I say go for the Canadian one. Americans are spoiled for choice when it comes to mocking their politicans. Canadians deserve some fine quality commentary too.

Hmm.. It’s a toughie. Our Canadian politics are incredibly dry, and not much is going to be said that can be really blogged about in an entertaining way… I’m more interesting to see Sarah Palin flatspin into the ocean than Jack Layton wiggle his mustache at me, to be honest.

Don’t accept the choice as either A or B.

Other options are available:
1. Have a guest blogger liveblog the second show
2. Have both running at once and see if you can stay sane while commenting more sparsely on both.
3. Tivo/DVR one of the shows then watch and liveblog on it later “live” just with a 3 hour tape delay.

However, if you must pick one I submit that the US VP debate will be a truer test of your speed and wit. Will you be able to recognize and cleverly comment on even half of the asinine statements being fired full-auto at the American people during this train wreck?

Plus, while everyone knows that Palin will be a gold mine of comedy, I bet Biden has at least one completely mind-bending statement of utter nonsense worthy of putting on tee-shirts.

So, are you going to liveblog both debates? 😛

Do both at the same time.

Do Canada. Being part of the internet generation, I take all of my serious information about politics from the blogs.

If you don’t cover the Canadian one, I swear I’m voting Harper. Do you want that on your head, MGK?

Get an extra TV, put both on at extreme volume, take a bunch of drugs (alcohol or even just stupid amounts of sugar and caffeine are moderately acceptable if that’s the farthest you go), liveblog both, call it gonzo blogulism.
