So, this was a fun exercise, and I do believe I’ll repeat it again next year. (Now that I have an idea of how difficult this one was – expect next year to be much harder.)

Now I feel kind of ashamed because I missed the Tintin reference. That was a great story.
And I managed to STILL miss the Tintin reference until you said Tintin just now. I must have read that 200 times as a kid. Now I feel like such a goat…
MGK, did you need to do research to compile these questions, or did you pluck all this nerdery from memory?
Some of those were just mean, because the hint wasn’t in the answer, but the episode name. (Otherwise I totally would have gotten the Q one) And I totally wondered if Sprodj was a Tintin ref and then dismissed it.
A fair amount of research was involved. I usually had about six or seven answers per category and then needed to do a little research for the final two or three.
The point is that it is mean. As I said: this was the first time out, and therefore I purposely made it easier than I could have done in order to gauge how quickly people would get it. Next year will be much harder. Still not proper King William’s hard, but hard.
