Well its obviously a male pride thing. That’s what’s so confusing about it.

The male ego must be satisfied with the kill and when their kill is threatened to be taken from them by another rival male, the egos must fight it out for dominance and the victory they have hunted for.

Even if the males kill themselves over who gets to kill the prey, the fight must continue until there is a superior alpha. Only he can take the prize back to his woman and child at their domicile.

There, the woman, as is her nature, will take the prize and cook it at 325 for 55 minutes while wearing an apron and a smile. And the child will speak of adolescent alpha male competitions so that his father can heap praise upon his child and nurture him into being the same kind of dominant alpha male that the father is.

Heck, I’d settle for three black-and-white “Showcase Presents Hitman” volumes that collect the whole damned thing. I’m not too proud to care about color.
