I’ve been waiting for TREME to come out over here in the UK.

Thanks for the spoilers. :/

Love your blog, but dude: that’s a pretty douchey headline for folks who are waiting for the DVD boxset.

I don’t like reading all the words so at first I thought the headline said something horrible and important. Boo!

Yeah, not reading all the words real good is definitely way to go. Now I’m convinced everything (EVERYTHING!) is mandated to have dancing bears in it, and there’s a new teaching program called Beyond Blackbeard that’s probably trying to get teachers to stop making the dumb kids walk the plank.

Incidentally, when my dad was a kid, there was a store that had a bear, and for a dollar you could feed the bear a soda. He seemed to prefer orange. Damn you, progress.

Ocean’s Eleven is fun till you think about all the people they killed with the EMP device.

At the risk of getting scorned: what’s wrong with the Black Eyed Peas? Okay, I can get how they might not be for everyone, and Fergie looks like the type to piss people off. But then there’s hate, and then there’s “Dear Lord, I hope somebody calls in a precise air strike during halftime of the Super Bowl.” And I don’t get that much raging hatred.

Going to see an advance screening of Doctor Who tomorrow night. Yeah, I am looking forward to it, though I’m not buying the big-ass teaser that’s been floating around. And the upcoming season reminds me that I gotta get a sketch of Rory to go along with the Doctor, Amy and River.

Re: your contention that this season’s premiere is “the first Doctor Who episode shot and set in the United States,” I’m pretty sure that they did some shooting in the U.S. for “Daleks in Manhattan”/”Evolution of the Daleks.”

You will then counter with a claim that this upcoming episode was shot more in the U.S. in percentage terms, and I will find a matte painting or something that was done in Wales, thus proving that it was not entirely shot in the U.S., and you will counter that post-production doesn’t count as shooting, and we will both ignore the Fox TV movie (Vancouver!).

Sorry, where was I?

I echo the “boo!” to spoilers, mainly since because it was in the post title I managed to be spoiled whilst signing in to my own blog.

Unless this is a unique double bluff, of course, and Goodman actually ends the first season by becoming immortal. Or something. Can jazz do that? This is the show about jazz, right?

Or even better, maybe he comes back disguised as Melissa Leo. No, wait. That hurts my head.

@Eric S. Smith: They did indeed shoot some stuff in the U.S. for the atrocious Dalek two-parter, but it was all establishing shots. This is the first time shooting in the U.S. with actual actors.

Yeah, I kinda wasn’t expecting to get spoiled for a show I’m hugely excited about, and have carefully avoided apoilers for, but haven’t had the opportunity to watch while *glancing* at my LJ friends page!

Again with the not reading. I guess that means there wasn’t an airstrike on the Superbowl halftime that I somehow missed because seriously fuck football (but woo! Greg Jennings, the hero of Kalamazootown!).

I’m clearly missing something, Cookie, but I’m at a loss to understand what.

That’s what happens when you read all the words, Squid. I strongly advise against it!
