Hrm. I get the feeling this is taking place in a foreign country, but I can’t seem to pinpoint which, exactly.

Never try to start reading a Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis comic halfway through. It will only lead to sorrow.

Fixed?

Jerry can talk about leprechauns all he wants, but when Dean looks at him, all he sees is a fucking dollar sign.

It’s so wrong that Dean Martin and Tony Stark never appeared in a comic book together.

SIG: I agree that this is definitely a foreign nation, but pinning it down is a bit challenging.

The yellow grass would appear to be a hint: a shade like that would be unlikely, especially that visible at night. Therefore, it can be inferred that the grass is merely a visual allegory, in this case a specific reference to the Sakatchewan town of Yellow Grass. This is further enhanced by the reference to potato-jacking. One can assume that Martin and Lewis intended this as a flashback issue to the Great Depression which informed their childhoods; and according to the Wikipedia page, during the Great Depression, potatoes were used in Yellow Grass to replace hockey pucks. As Canadians without hockey are like a body without a heart, a potato-jacking organization could indeed pose a hefty threat.

The only argument against this reading is that Martin appears to be wearing the colors of Gambia.

I think in Oz’s Winkie Country, the grass is yellow. And a Wizard of Oz crossover would help this make a little bit more sense…

There are two results for Googling “potato-jackers” and they’re both this. I’m just relieved there’s no Mr. Potato-Head Rule 34 action going on yet.
