This gives us one of my favorite Daffy lines ever:
“DOWN DOWN DOWN! GO GO GO! MINE MINE MINE!”
Such a classic. So many great lines it that one. I wonder, was that the first time the recurring Pismo Beach gag was used?
Or the “left turn at Albuquerque” gag, for that matter?
“Left turn at Albequerque” predates this by heaps. Bugs and Daffy didn’t team up in cartoons until the 50s; Bugs was using that gag as early as the mid-40s.
Ah. I learned something today.
I think Left turn at Albequerque is either first used in the Matador one or the Bugs in Camelot one…
Aw, it’s sweet that they’re vacationing together despite their previous differences.
