No one is going to comment on this? Funny as hell and one of the best Christmas specials I have ever seen. Oddly enought there is a bit cut out here that I remember seeing once. After Baldrick says that the kids loved the nativity play, he adds “for Easter, they want to nail up the dog”. Can any one confirm or deny this?

There is an edit towards the beginning of the episode, after Baldrick talks about the dog in the Nativity play. Blackadder asks him “Weren’t the children upset?” and Baldrick responds “Nah, they loved it. They want us to do another one at Easter. They want to see us nail up the dog.” Most of this line is cut from video and most DVD releases (the complete box set released in Jan 2006 contains the line).[1] It still appeared on previous television transmissions, but was excised when repeated on BBC2 at Christmas 2007.

‘Humbug! Humbug! Humbug, Mr Balderick?’
Still remains my favourite bit of the special.
