It’s a trollsite.
Seriously, how can anyone even think that’s real for a second? It’s just way too overboard.
I wonder what the cover of “God Comics” #1 looks like.
Must be the born again version of “The Onion”.
Jesus Fucking Christ.
That sure brings all the ‘Fun’ in Fundamentalist, eh?
Now, if you excuse, me I’m going to read my witchcraft comics while having sweet lesbian sex.
God? Heavens, no, not God, just Joe Qesada. He thinks of himself as God, but turns out, he likes the devil a whole lot.
I’m deeply amused, myself. I don’t think it’s bashing religion–there are some people who give religion a bad name, and that site is bashing them. With some wonderfully sharp humor, too–I loved “Scientists Invent Pink Dolphin”.
It’s much more depressing to me that there are commenters who took the article at face value. 🙂
Frankly I’m terrified of those people in the comment section who seem to think the website is real.
In response to this article, the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster issued a proclamation promoting scans_daily. “Dude, they’re pirates. Of course we’re supporting them.”
Not only did God nearly destroy Earth with a giant space rock, but last time he tried he missed by nine years…
“The last time God smashed Earth with such a meteor was 1908, where communist Russians in Siberia were struck down with ‘the force of 1000 atomic bombs”.”
The Russian Revolution was in 1917…

@Enlight_Bystand:
Yeah but the Tunguska Event in Siberia was in 1908…
I’ve talked to enough fundies to laugh too hard… the only real reason I’m not totally fooled by those sites is that I’ve never met a fundie who both believed that sort of thing AND could work beyond basic html.
Given that I once wrote what I thought was an obvious piece of satire and that said satire was later linked to here, href=”http://willvaus.blogspot.com/2007/12/prince-caspian-trailer.html”>here, here, here and here by conservatives who took it seriously… I can easily see this being mistaken for real conservative rhetoric.
There’s something about looking at a (sometimes hilarious)bit of parody like that, and, after realizing that it’s a joke, declaring it a “troll site” that just seems fucked up to me.
Just a way of expressing one’s resentment at being taken in at first and made to feel a fool?
Too much thinking in netiquette terms and not enough sense (common- and -of humour)?
Was the infamous Onion “Harry Potter promotes paganism & Satanism” bit that caused all that fuss a few years back a “troll piece” just because a bunch of dumbasses (and yes they fucking were) thought it was real? Of course it fucking wasn’t.
That fake nutty Jesus site is nearly a work of art, all the more so because of the creator’s refusal to break character.
But I thought the church declared that they loved the Nazis a big huggy-bunch?
