Very, very cool. Gonick’s work is fantastic, and he seems like a pretty cool guy, too.
I try to proselytize people about the Cartoon History series, and I’m always disappointed be people who think it can’t be worth their time because it has pictures… along those lines, I thought it was pretty interesting how he pointed out in the interview that he’s fleshing things out with architecture, clothing, etc., to deliver historical information that doesn’t really come across in prose.
COOOOL
Not only did I learn all there was to know about the world from Cartoon History of The Universe, I was a huge MUSE fan back in the day. Absolutely everything Gonick did fascinated me. I think it’s about time to reread those volumes.
And is it just me, or is Gonick the only cartoonist LESS schlubby than his drawn counterpart?
Gonick is my hero. Thanks for the link!
