Accordingly, were there to be a big-screen remake: Meryl Streep is currently 63, as is Sigourney Weaver. Cybill Shepherd is 62. And Bonnie Hunt is 51.

Oh man. Oh man. OH MAN. I already I knew I can never be happy if I don’t have my own pig-nosed sloth. I already knew time is quickly running out for a live-action remake of Thundarr the Barbarian starring Catherine Zeta-Jones as Princess Ariel, and that breaks my heart. I did not know that I would die unfulfilled if I could not see Sigourney Weaver playing Dorothy. Thanks a LOT.
The only one of those names that makes me feel old is Sigourney Weaver. I would not have thought she might be 63.

Meryl Streep’s St Olaf stories would involve a Norwegian accent and copious amounts of tears.
But keep in mind, AMS, she is a HOT motherfucking 63.
Two words: Helen Motherfucking Mirren.
Helen Mirren would have to be in the BBC version which fans would claim American tv managed to retroactively steal from them somehow. It would also star them other Dames, Maggie White and Judi Densch and… um… Sir Ben Kingsley in a very nice wig, because that’s still a better idea than what else he’s been up to lately.
