For some reason I’ve got a B-side single from The Lonely Island’s first CD stuck in my head….
I don’t listen to CBC Radio as much as I used to, so I haven’t heard The Debaters, but I caught a few episodes on TV and you’re right, it’s damn entertaining. (Especially the Disney one.) On the surface, you`d think it was just a knckoff of Lewis Black`s Root of All Evil, but it`s so much funnier. (And I loved Root of All Evil.) Looking forward to the Batman/Spider-Man one tomorrow, now that I know about it.
Do you guys in Canada get Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory? I reckon it’s the best show on MTV in the US, yet it doesn’t get write-ups. I think Nerdy McHugenschlong gets more attention, as well as ABDC, the decaying dinosaurs from Bunim-Murray Productions, Guidos that misrepresent my neck of the woods, and knocked up teens and their potentially doomed offspring. Seriously . . . Rob Dyrdek, skateboarding manchild with a show that gives me at least two laughs per episode.
I’m not into the NBA, but I do have to ask: wouldn’t the thought of Mark Cuban winning a championship be as repelling to some people as LeBron James screwing Cleveland and getting his first ring? I mean, if the Mavs win, I wouldn’t expect a whole city to commit ceremonial hara-kiri like Cleveland would, but I know Cuban rubs a lot of people the wrong way . . . especially David Stern, which would make the trophy ceremony awesome.

The Mark Cuban thing is countered by the fact that a Mavs win means that Jason Kidd finally gets a ring.

You know, I might just take umbrage to you denigrating my city’s hockey team, if I weren’t too stoned to care.
Go, Vancouver! … Save us from Boston winning all the damn sports. 😐

@Jason: Nah. LeBron winning would be much worse.

Poor Jason Kidd. He’s no spring chicken anymore, somebody ought to let that nice young man win already.
Oklahoma Stolen Team?
The team went to a town that appreciates them from a town that didn’t. What’s wrong with that?
I can’t wait to cheer on the Winnipeg Reparations!
I’m happy to hear Elvia Kurt is still getting work, because she’s a fantastic comedian and serious underrated and needs to do more stuff.
